It's the winter solstice! 10 Things to Know about SunWatch

Connie Post, of the Dayton Daily News, has written a short article about the astronomical alignment known as a solstice and the alignments to the solstice within SunWatch Indian Village and Archaeological Park.

"Today is the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year for us in the Northern Hemisphere. Precisely, the sun reaches its southern-most point at 11:49 p.m. Then the days will start getting longer. A historical gem inside the city limits is named for the fact that knowing the sun’s cycle was important for the ancient people who once lived here.
